"Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans" recently signed a cooperation agreement with SOS Children's Villages Jordan, aiming to establish collaboration between the two parties. The agreement seeks to unite efforts to support and prepare young people who lost parental care after they turn 18, as well as assist them in achieving self-reliance.
The agreement was signed by Nour Al Hamoud, the General Manager of Al-Aman Fund, and Rana AlZoubi, the National Director of SOS Children's Villages. The three-year agreement is based on mutual cooperation, intended to positively impact the lives of beneficiaries by supporting them in accessing optimal educational opportunities, whether in universities, colleges, vocational training, and multiple academic and professional choices. It also aims to support their livelihoods and contribute to enhancing their self-capabilities through various training programs.
Nour Al Hamoud, the General Manager of Al-Aman Fund, emphasized that the fund's mission is to offer support by providing beneficiaries with equal opportunities within their communities, asserting their right to a better future. She highlighted the significance of the relationship between the fund and SOS Children's Villages, placing a significant responsibility on both parties to integrate roles in supporting orphans from childhood to empowering young men and women after turning 18 and leaving the village and the youth homes.
Rana AlZoubi, the National Director of SOS Children's Villages, explained that the family-based care model provided by SOS Children's Villages offers comprehensive care for children who lost parental care and young people without family support from infancy up to the age of 18. It covers various aspects of care, including food security, housing, education, healthcare, psychological support, empowerment, economic security, protection, and social integration. AlZoubi commended the role played by Al-Aman Fund, which complements the efforts of the Association in providing necessary support to prepare beneficiary children who lost parental care for a secure, stable future, ultimately leading to complete independence.
Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, one of the initiatives of Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development, works to support young orphaned men and women across the Kingdom by providing academic and vocational education, living expenses, health insurance, guidance and counseling services, self-development, and capacity-building throughout their educational journey.
SOS Children's Villages Jordan, a non-profit national Association established in 1983, provides care for approximately 250 children, including children who lost parental care and those without family support, in thirty-two family homes across its three villages in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba, as well as in its nine youth homes.
