A cooperation agreement between Queen Rania Teacher Academy and SOS Children's Villages Jordan

Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) signed a collaboration agreement with SOS Children's Villages Jordan with the aim of identifying educational needs and professional development for private tutors and the educational team within the Association.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Osama Obeidat, CEO of QRTA, and Mrs. Rana AlZoubi, National Director of SOS Children's Villages Jordan. The signing ceremony took place at the premises of the academy. As per this agreement, specialized professional development programs will be provided to private tutors and the educational team within the Association. The necessary resources will be made available to implement these programs according to a mutually agreed-upon action plan.

Al-Zoubi emphasized that this significant partnership will contribute to meeting the Association's objectives of enhancing the educational process to ensure every child's right to a high-quality education. The Association is dedicated to focusing on the skills and professionalism of its staff, enabling them to fulfill their duties towards children to the fullest extent.

 

Dr. Osama Obeidat, CEO of QRTA, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating: "In line with our social responsibility, we are pleased to support the remarkable efforts of SOS Children's Villages Jordan and collaborate to enhance the educational aspect, ultimately improving students' skills and performance."

SOS Children's Villages Jordan provides alternative care for children and youth who lack parental care or are at risk of losing it, and supports youth till the age of 24 helping them reach independence. What distinguishes its care model is providing integrated care for children and youth, by covering all their needs including care, accommodation, education & skills, protection & social inclusion, food security, physical health, livelihood, and social & emotional wellbeing. The association is guided by the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care for Children and the Convention on the Rights of the Child issued by the United Nations. The Association also aligns its efforts with the principles of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, where the goals of the United Nations for sustainable development come within the focus of the its work and strategy.
