Hikma Pharmaceutical Company expand their partnership with SOS Children's Villages Jordan

Proceeding from the belief of the Hikma Pharmaceutical Company in the mission of the SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, which is to provide alternative family care for those who have lost the family bond, the company has sponsored the education of ten children for the current year, in addition to ensuring a family home within a strategic partnership that began in 2015.

The agreement to renew the cooperation was signed by Mrs. Rana Al-Zoubi, the National Director of the SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, and Mrs. Hana Darwaza Ramadan, Vice President of the Social Responsibility Department at Al-Hikma Pharmaceutical Company.

Al-Zoubi expressed her pride in expanding the partnership with a prestigious institution such as Al-Hikma Pharmaceutical Company by supporting children's education, which would enhance the academic level of children, as she explained that education is one of the society's most important priorities as it is considered the basic building block towards preparing children to become active citizens in their societies. She also pointed out the importance of the activities that Al-Hikma employees carry out during the year with the children of villages, which contribute to the promotion of the psychological and physical health of children.

In turn, Darwaza said: “Besides committed to fulfilling its mission to improve the quality of life for individuals by providing high-quality medicines on hand, Hikma always seeks to establish partnerships that will benefit local communities and the less fortunate, which is what we are proud of in our partnership With the Jordanian SOS Children’s Villages Association, through which we support the communities in which we operate.”

It is worth noting that the SOS Children’s Villages Jordan is a non-profit national organization established in 1983, working in the field of social development and providing care for two hundred and sixty (260) orphans and young men and women who lack family bonds in family and community houses in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba, and in the youth houses. Also provides support to young men and women up to the age of 23 to help them reach the stage of independence. The alternative family care model in children's villages is characterized by providing integrated care for children and youth covering care, food security, housing, education, health and psychological care, empowerment, economic security, protection and community integration, and works within the guidelines for the alternative care of children and the Convention on the Rights of the Child issued by the United Nations, where the United Nations sustainable development goals come within the focus of the association's work and strategy.
