Amman – [Sept 3, 2024] – As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and enhancing children's futures, Nebras Energy (formerly known as AES Jordan) has generously supported SOS Children’s Villages Jordan in Irbid, Amman, and Aqaba by providing fully equipped school bags for primary and secondary students.

This initiative reflects Nebras Energy's belief in the importance of education and its fundamental role in children's lives. The school bags were distributed to ensure students are well-prepared for the new academic year and to help them focus on their studies. This action extends the strong relationship between Nebras Energy and SOS Children’s Villages Jordan as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

The management of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan expressed their gratitude to Nebras Energy for this support, which brings joy to the children and fosters a supportive educational environment. This collaboration reflects Nebras Energy’s values and its commitment to creating a positive and sustainable impact on society.

It is worth mentioning that Nebras Energy is a leading company in the energy sector in Jordan, meeting approximately 14% of the country’s electricity needs. The company is known for its strong partnerships with the local community through its support for various developmental and educational initiatives.

Previously, the company implemented three renewable energy projects across the three villages, with a total capacity of 160 kW/peak, significantly reducing the energy costs for the organization and improving the services provided to children and caregivers.

Additionally, Nebras Energy launched another project to install energy-efficient air conditioners to improve living conditions inside family houses in the Amman Village.
