Nine childcare providers in SOS Children's Villages Jordan have obtained a Professional Caregiver Certifications as caregivers and child educators at a vocational level.
This achievement marks the Association as the first entity where childcare providers receive such certifications. The accomplishment follows the participation of the childcare providers in an 800-hour training course conducted by the Vocational Training Corporation in collaboration with the Canadian University College and the The Technical and Vocational Skills Development Council which grants accreditation for this certification.
A graduation ceremony will be organized for the childcare providers who have obtained the professional certification, with the presence of partnering entities in this program. The National Director of the Association, Mrs. Rana AlZoubi, expressed her pride in SOS Children's Villages Jordan being the first institution where childcare providers participate in this important program. This program enhances their capabilities to provide excellent care for children while considering their diverse needs.
She pointed out that considering the requirements of the childcare provider profession during their journey in SOS Children's Villages, the Association holds training courses throughout the year for all childcare providers. This is based on the belief that enhancing their abilities is the optimal way to provide suitable family care for children, preparing them for independence in the later stages of their lives.
One of the childcare providers, Hayam, mentioned: "The training was incredibly beneficial; we were provided with comprehensive theoretical material covering all aspects of our work as childcare providers, along with practical application. This certification will aid me in my professional future and enrich my career path."
