SOS Children's Villages Jordan launches its annual campaign for World Children's Day

SOS Children's Villages Jordan has launched its annual campaign in celebration of World Children's Day, observed on November 20th every year as a global occasion to advocate for children's rights, celebrate them, and promote international collaboration on this important matter. The campaign aims to remind citizens and institutions that each of us has a role to play in defending children's rights and encourages them to take necessary steps to support children and build a better world for them.

The Association's campaign for the current year features the artist Nadia Sharara, an ambassador of SOS Children's Villages Jordan, whose image is spread through various media channels. An event will also be held with the participation of Nadia Sharara at Amman Children’s Village on this occasion, along with several activities in the villages of Irbid and Aqaba. The campaign slogan translates into "Your Support Provides Them With Safety" to illustrate the impact that a person of goodwill can create by contributing a small monthly amount. The sponsorship costs are 15 Jordanian Dinars monthly for a child, 25 Jordanian Dinars monthly for a young individual, and 50 Jordanian Dinars monthly for a family consisting of (5-7) children. Additionally, companies and institutions can sponsor a family home in the villages for 15,000 Jordanian Dinars, covering part of the ongoing expenses for one year.

Those wishing to support the campaign can do so through various channels, including the website, e-fawateercom platform, and other available donation methods on the Association's website and social media platforms. They can also contact the Association through the charity number: 5658885.

The Association is promoting its campaign through various media outlets, including billboards, major commercial stores, outdoor advertisements, social media platforms, and text messages.

In line with the Association's message and the importance of supporting children, AlHikma Pharmaceuticals Company and Le Royal Amman Hotel will illuminate their buildings in blue on World Children's Day. Blue is the designated color of SOS Children's Villages, symbolizing safety and trust.

It's worth mentioning that the Association provides care for children and youth who lost parental care and are without family support through family houses and community homes in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba, as well as in youth homes. The Association also supports young men and women up to the age of 24 to help them achieve independence. The Association aims to provide a family environment and care for children without family support, believing that every child has the right to grow up in a loving and respectful family atmosphere. The care model in SOS Children's Villages offers comprehensive care for children and youth, covering various aspects such as housing, food security, education, healthcare, psychological support, empowerment, economic security, protection, and social integration within a warm family environment. The association operates within the guidelines of alternative child care and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are central to the association's work and strategy.
