The first village of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan was opened in Amman in 1987, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to caring for children who had lost family care. Since then, SOS Children’s Villages Jordan has continued to expand, providing comprehensive family-like care across the Kingdom. In 1991, a second village was opened in Aqaba, followed by a third village in Irbid in 1999, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the founding of SOS Children’s Villages worldwide.
