SOS Children's Villages Jordan participated in the National Conference held on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as part of the "Mitigate the Prevalence of Drug Use among Youth and Children" project, funded by the European Union.
The conference brought together government institutions, civil society organizations, and key stakeholders working in the field of drug prevention. It provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, highlight national efforts, and strengthen collaboration in promoting prevention and community awareness.
Through its participation, SOS Children's Villages Jordan showcased the project's approach to preventing drug use among children and youth, including community awareness, peer support initiatives, and mental health and psychosocial support interventions. The event also served as a platform to strengthen partnerships and reinforce the importance of a coordinated, multi-sectoral response to address substance use among .young people
