Empowering children to grow in a supportive environment that ensures care, education, and positive integration into society with safety and stability.
SOS Children’s Villages Jordan is a national, non-profit social
development association established in 1983, operating under the
supervision of the Ministry of Social Development, the official
authority responsible for child protection policies in the Kingdom.
The Association provides integrated, family-like care for children and
young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.
Through its three locations in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba, it supports
them up to the age of 24, helping them achieve independence. It also
works to support families at risk of separation to remain together in
safe and stable conditions.
The Association operates in full compliance with national child
protection laws and in continuous coordination with the Ministry of
Social Development, while also aligning with the UN Guidelines for the
Alternative Care for Children and the Convention on the Rights of the
Child issued by the United Nations. The Association integrates the
principles of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development within its
strategy, ensuring a future-oriented approach that prioritizes the
best interests of children and youth in Jordan.
