Amman – Jordan

SOS Children’s Villages Jordan has announced the launch of its Ramadan 2026 campaign under the slogan “Let Goodness Light Up Their Homes.” The campaign calls on community members to help brighten the homes of children and young people without parental care through zakat, sponsorships, and ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), contributing to a safe and nurturing environment and supporting the building of a future full of opportunity and hope.

This year’s campaign is built around a humanitarian message emphasizing that donors’ contributions directly support the provision of a family-like, caring environment. It also helps ensure continuity of education for children and youth, in addition to securing comprehensive care, safe housing, food security, and both physical and mental healthcare—guaranteeing protection and stability within warm and secure homes.

The organization confirmed that giving zakat, ongoing charity, sponsorships, and expiation for missed fasting (kaffarat al-siyam) is permitted under official religious rulings issued by Jordan’s General Iftaa Department. These rulings allow zakat and donations to be directed toward orphans and children without parental support through the association’s programs, ensuring funds reach eligible beneficiaries in accordance with Islamic guidelines, with a lasting positive impact throughout their lives.

The association noted that donors’ contributions help sustain care for children and youth across 30 family homes within its programs, reflecting the tangible impact of giving on their daily lives and future.

The campaign has been launched across social media platforms, radio advertisements on Hayat FM, and television ads including Roya TV and Jordan TV, in addition to bridge billboards and digital screens across malls and streets—aiming to reach the widest possible audience and strengthen community participation. The campaign is also supported in part by Almarai Company and Taybeh Company, reflecting their commitment to the association’s mission and to empowering children and youth without parental support.

Throughout the holy month, the campaign is present at several key locations, including Galleria Mall, Mecca Mall, Taj Mall, and Sweifieh Village, offering the public opportunities for direct engagement and contribution.
