The Joy Carnival… Our Open Days Are Back!
Amman – After three years, SOS Children’s Villages Jordan is opening its doors to the community once again through its Open Days, returning this year as “The Joy Carnival.” Taking place across three events at SOS Children’s Villages in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba, the celebrations invite families and community members to come together for evenings of fun, connection, and shared joy with children and young people.
The Joy Carnival brings back the spirit of the Open Days that have long been part of the organization’s community activities. More than a celebration, it is an opportunity to reconnect, to bring children, young people, their families, and members of the local community together, while giving visitors the chance to experience SOS Children’s Villages and discover the warmth and spirit of the villages firsthand.
The events are free and open to everyone, taking place on the following dates:
- SOS Children’s Village Aqaba: Thursday, August 13, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with exclusive support from Bromine Jordan.
- SOS Children’s Village Irbid: Thursday, August 20, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with support from Unipal Jordan.
- SOS Children’s Village Amman: Thursday, August 27, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, under the patronage of H.E. Ms. Ts’elani Mokoena, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with support from Capital Bank and Gulf Insurance Group (GIG Jordan).
The celebrations will feature a variety of family-friendly activities designed to bring laughter, creativity, and fun to the evening, including face painting, magic and entertainment shows, inflatable games, and much more. The Joy Carnival will also feature a community bazaar, giving women and small-business owners the opportunity to showcase their products, supporting local businesses while creating another space for the community to come together and be part of the celebrations.
SOS Children’s Villages Jordan invites families and members of the local community to join The Joy Carnival and enjoy an evening filled with fun, laughter, and connection. After three years, the Open Days are returning not simply as an event, but as an opportunity to reconnect, bring people together, and once again open the doors of the villages to the community.
