SOS Children’s Villages Launches “We Stand With You” Campaign to Support Children and Youth Without Parental Care

Amman — SOS Children’s Villages Jordan has launched its campaign marking Universal Children’s Day, titled “We Stand With You.” The campaign calls on every individual to be a hero in a child’s life—someone who believes in children’s dreams, stands by them, and gives them safety and the opportunity to build a better future.

The campaign aims to encourage individuals and institutions to take a simple step with meaningful impact. Donations—no matter the amount—help provide comprehensive care for children and young people without parental support in Jordan. It emphasizes that every supporter is a key partner in empowering children to overcome challenges and create new success stories.

The campaign includes wide-reaching advertising to connect with different segments of society, including:

  • Social media campaigns
  • Bridge billboards
  • Digital street screens
  • Mall displays
  • Informational booths inside malls to raise awareness and encourage donations

It also features a live broadcast day on Hayat FM Radio on November 30, 2025.

Trusted Channels for Zakat, Sadaqah, and Sponsorship

The association strengthens its work through a comprehensive, officially recognized framework. It has received formal religious rulings (fatwas) from Jordan’s General Iftaa Department permitting the allocation of zakat, charitable donations (sadaqah), fidya, and sponsorships to support children and youth without parental care.

This recognition reflects the comprehensive care provided by the organization, including education, healthcare, housing, protection, and psychosocial support.

As the end of the year approaches, these rulings provide individuals with a clear and reassuring religious framework, helping them fulfill their charitable obligations with confidence—ensuring their contributions directly benefit children and youth in need of stable, continuous care.

A Call to Participate: Be Someone’s Support

The association emphasizes that donating—whether through zakat, sponsorship, or charity—is a step that gives a child a new opportunity, a sense of belonging, and real support in life.

Everyone is invited to stand with children and youth and help ensure continuous care and full rights for them.
